Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• ECE coursework/credits required.
• At least 1 year of licensed childcare/early childhood experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
• Must meet state childcare licensing requirements.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work with children, families, and coworkers.
• Adapt to changing classroom needs.
• Commitment to providing high-quality care and education.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom activities and age-appropriate instruction.
• Implement engaging lesson plans and activities.
• Create a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment.
• Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Build strong relationships with children and families.
• Communicate professionally with parents, teachers, and management.
• Observe and document children’s development and progress.
• Complete required child progress reports and classroom documentation.
• Establish consistent classroom routines and expectations.
• Respond to children’s individual needs with patience and empathy.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming classroom.
• Work collaboratively with your teaching team and school leadership.
• Implement COA’s Mind and Body Matters curriculum.
• Follow all health, safety, and state licensing requirements.
