Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is hiring in Shaker Heights, OH for a on-site teaching leadership role. You will lead and mentor classroom staff, implement our curriculum with fidelity, and ensure a safe, engaging environment for children.

Partner with families and center leadership to drive enrollment, accreditation, and ongoing engagement, while meeting state requirements and maintaining high-quality care across sites.

Qualifications

  • Active CDA Credential or eligible for NAEYC candidacy.
  • Approved state trainer is preferred.
  • 2–3 years of Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
  • Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain them.
  • CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and mentor teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
  • Implement KinderCare's curriculum consistently with each child's needs.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
  • Partner with parents to support best care and education for children.
  • Support center success; collaborate with staff and leadership on enrollment and engagement.
  • Build positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, and partners.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback
  • Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn
  • Partner and connect with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
  • Support your center’s success; partner with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and engagement
  • Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts and corporate partners
Required Skills and Experience
  • Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and handle multiple situations effectively
  • Possess active Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements
  • Approved state trainer (preferred)
  • 2-3 years Early Childhood Education Experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred)
  • Meet state specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain
  • CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Use a computer, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
  • Be able to make physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
  • Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
