Job summary

Discovery Point - Seven Hills & Silverthorn is seeking a Lead Teacher to plan lessons and guide classrooms using approved curriculum that supports social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth.

You will maintain a safe learning environment, lead staff, communicate with families, and participate in center operations while delivering developmentally appropriate activities and maintaining high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Must meet state licensing requirements for education and experience.
• Knowledge of early childhood education and curriculum.
• Knowledge of child care licensing rules and regulations.
• Ability to obtain training in CPR/Fire Safety and other required training.
• Must have a CDA/degree in ECE.
• Must meet state background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares lesson plans and instructs children in age-appropriate activities.
• Sets up and maintains the classroom for a safe, fun and age-appropriate learning environment.
• Cleans and sanitizes classroom, materials, and restrooms as appropriate.
• Ensures the classroom is clean and ready for tours at all times.
• Treats children with dignity and respect, displaying friendly, enthusiastic and caring behavior.
• Plans and conducts parent conferences; provides daily written feedback to parents as appropriate.
• Maintains confidentiality of all information on children and their families.
