Job description

Schedule: 10-hour shift, Monday to Friday with one weekday off

Overall Responsibility:

As a Co-Lead Teacher at Monica Lynne Neidorff ECC, you will collaborate with fellow educators, students, and families to foster a positive learning environment for children, emphasizing a "learning through play" philosophy. Your role includes implementing developmentally appropriate practices while considering the unique interests and needs of each child.

Desired Candidate Must:

  • Demonstrate a passion for early childhood education, with prior experience working with young children.
  • Exhibit motivation and teamwork skills.
  • Possess knowledge of preschool-aged developmental milestones.
  • Recognize and nurture the individuality and strengths of each child.
  • Utilize a positive approach in managing disruptive behavior and applying fair consequences.
  • Maintain a well-organized, clean, and engaging classroom environment in collaboration with your co-teacher.
  • Communicate effectively and cultivate positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Display patience, flexibility, dedication, responsibility, and initiative.
  • Adhere to punctuality and regular attendance requirements.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods on the floor and lift up to 50lbs.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate Degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred, though not required.
  • Experience in early childhood education is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Judaism is not necessary.
  • Dental and Vision coverage available.

  • Full-time employees follow a four-day work calendar with ten-hour shifts.
  • Earned paid time off after the first 3 months of employment.
  • Six paid federal holidays per year and 7 paid Jewish holidays per year.
  • 1-hour PAID break provided for employees working 8-10 hours per day.
