Metropolitan Family Services in Addison, IL, is hiring a full-time Lead Teacher 0-3 to empower families and support dual language learners. You will implement Head Start activities, document progress with Teaching Strategies Gold, and collaborate with family support staff to foster a supportive classroom environment.

Requires a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education; Master’s preferred; PEL or Gateways credentials for 0-3 or 3-5 depending on age group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Education from an accredited college or university required.
• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Lead Teacher working with children ages 3-5: PEL or a Gateways ECE level 5 Credential while working towards receiving PEL.
• Lead Teacher working with children ages 0-3: Bachelor’s with a Gateways IT Level 5 Credential.

Responsibilities

• Ensures timely completion of monthly job targets.
• Supports a team approach to planning and implementing program activities; collaborates with staff for classroom and family betterment.
• Participates in ongoing CLASS implementation and monitoring.
• Guides and facilitates activities of the children with proper ratios and active supervision.
• Attends mandated trainings and tracks professional development in Gateways.
• Uses Teaching Strategies Gold to document school readiness skills and maintain reliability.
• Implements Planned Language Approach to support dual language learners.
• Communicates with families via newsletters and conference forms.
