Job summary

Big Blue Marble Academy is hiring an Early Child Care Lead Teacher to guide infants, toddlers and preschoolers with a world-spanning play-based curriculum. You will build daily rapport with families through electronic reports and ensure safety guidelines are followed in a dynamic classroom.

The role offers full-time and part-time options with a focus on teamwork, development, and making a difference in children's lives, within an inclusive workplace.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• SC Child Care Credential or CDA required.
• At least six months of licensed childcare experience.
• Early Childhood coursework, CDA or degree preferred.
• At least six months experience working in child care, daycare or preschool preferred.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds and supervise children visually.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement activities using our play-based curriculum that takes children on an adventure around the world.
• Develop rapport with families daily using electronic daily reports to share milestones.
• Follow enhanced safety guidelines to keep your classroom clean and safe.

As an Early Child Care Lead Teacher, you will:

• Plan and implement activities using our play-based curriculum that takes children on an adventure around the world as they learn developmentally appropriate skills and concepts.
• Develop rapport with families daily. Use electronic daily reports to share milestones captured throughout the day.
• Follow enhanced safety guidelines to keep your classroom clean and safe

Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required
• South Carolina Child Care Credential or CDA
• At least six months of licensed childcare experience
• Early Childhood coursework, CDA or degree preferred
• At least six months experience working in child care, daycare or preschool preferred
• Employees are required to stand (six to eight hours daily), stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, etc. while working with children.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
• Must be able to visually supervise children at all times.
