Job summary

Foundations Preschool & Early Development Centers is seeking a dedicated classroom assistant for our Blue Diamond location. You will support young children, manage daily routines, and help implement engaging activities in a nurturing, age-appropriate environment.

Applicants should have a High School diploma or GED; a CDA or higher in early childhood is preferred. We offer health, life, retirement benefits, a childcare discount, professional development, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• CDA or higher in early childhood education preferred.
• Background check and fingerprinting required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce rules of behavior for children in their classrooms.
• Provide basic needs for children and supervise at all times.
• Provide tools and resources for learning through play.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet children’s interests and learning styles.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with children and parents.
• Manage classroom activities, including lessons, play, breaks and meals.
• Track children’s progress and report to parents.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom.
• Collaborate with colleagues to implement lesson plans.
• Encourage social interaction to develop social skills.
• Maintain inventory and supervise materials.
• Facilitate songs, games, and storytelling activities.
• Adhere to health/safety and sanitation procedures.

What You'll Do
