Job summary

Kinder Kastle Child Care Learning C in Elmwood Park, NJ is seeking Amazing Lead Teachers to join our team. Our ideal candidate will hold a CDA credential or higher and have a heart for imagination in early childhood education.

We offer year-round positions, with both full-time and part-time schedules Monday through Friday. Candidates should have at least 1 year of classroom experience and strong communication with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• CDA, Associates or BA in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of prior classroom experience (Infant, Toddler, Preschool).
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
• Strong written and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Developing lesson plans based on Developmental Guidelines and monthly themes.
• Meeting the individual needs of the children by interacting with the children to support play, exploration, and learning.
• Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff.
• Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom.
• Creating a positive learning environment in their classroom where children develop a lifelong love of learning.
• Presenting expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level.
• Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills.
• Building teamwork.
• Using assessment tools and observations to track individual child development.
• Committing to continuing education.
• Ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance and State Licensing Standards
