Job summary

The Goddard School of Grandview, OH is seeking a Lead Teacher for Infants through PreK to join our organization. You will guide early childhood classrooms, implementing our play-based curriculum and fostering a love of learning.

All candidates must be working toward or have a degree in early education or a related field. Prior childcare or teaching experience, excellent communication, and a caring demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields
• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to build rapport with children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Promote Goddard School philosophy and educational objectives
• Support a code of ethical conduct
• Pursue professional development/continuing education
• Attend faculty meetings, in-service days, conferences and professional growth opportunities
• Design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
• Develop an appropriate classroom management system to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
• Ensure that classroom equipment is in good repair
• Promote healthy eating practices at lunch and snack times

About Goddard School:

The Goddard School is an early education and childcare center that offers programs for children ages twelve weeks to six years old. Our program focuses on building a love of learning through play-based education. Teachers at our school are career educators and work closely with our Director of Education to craft a curriculum that prepares students to succeed in the classroom and beyond.
