Some of the most important learning happens in small moments: a child trying something new, finding the words for a big feeling, or lighting up because someone believed they could do it.
We're looking for a Lead Teacher at West View who brings warmth into the classroom and is excited to inspire curiosity, confidence, and growth in young children. This is a role for someone who understands that early learning is about more than lesson plans-it's about creating a place where children feel safe, known, encouraged, and excited to discover what comes next.
As Lead Teacher, you'll shape a nurturing and inclusive classroom, plan developmentally appropriate learning experiences, observe and support each child's progress, and build meaningful relationships with families. You'll also work alongside an Assistant Teacher, providing the day-to-day guidance and coaching that helps your classroom team grow together.
We hope you're someone who leads with patience and positivity, communicates well, and can balance the joy and energy of a classroom with the organization and responsibility that come with leading one. You'll need to be at least 21, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and meet DCYF eligibility requirements, including holding an Early Childhood Education certification or being in the process of obtaining one. Several required trainings and certifications can be provided after hire if needed.
This is a full-time position with medical, vision, dental, LTD and life insurance; sick and vacation accrual; 10 paid operational closure days; 2 self-selected Days of Importance; and access to a 401(k).
If you're the kind of person who can make a classroom feel welcoming while helping young minds stretch, explore, and grow, we'd love to hear from you.
