Job summary

Birch Tree Academy on the Seattle Eastside is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher to guide daily learning experiences in a nurturing preschool setting. You will collaborate with assistant teachers and create a safe, engaging environment that supports children's growth.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of childcare experience, is at least 18, meets Washington licensing requirements, and holds or is willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of childcare experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must meet Washington State licensing requirements for education and experience.
• CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to nurture and care for young children in a safe, engaging environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging daily lessons and activities aligned with curriculum goals.
• Foster a safe, healthy, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support children's social, emotional, and academic development.
• Promote multicultural learning and positive classroom behaviors.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Supervise classroom activities, projects, and field trips.
• Partner with teaching staff to create a positive learning experience for every child.
