Job summary

Vector Security is seeking a Lead Systems Technician in Memphis, TN to service and install integrated security systems including Burglar and Fire Alarms, Access Control, and Video. The role requires strong technical aptitude and customer-facing interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include completing installations and servicing of network devices, programming and commissioning systems, and aiding in technician training. A valid driver's license and relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5+ years industry experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years fire detection and signaling experience (burglary, fire alarm, CCTV, access control).
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• ESA Certified Alarm Technician Level 2 or equivalent preferred.
• NICET Fire or Video Level 2 preferred.

Summary:

The Lead Systems Technician will be responsible for Servicing and/or Installation of integrated systems including Burglar and Fire Alarms, Access Control, and Video. Possesses strong technical aptitude and effective interpersonal skills.

What you'll do:

• Completes System Servicing and/or Installations of various types of integrated systems.
• Completes Servicing and/or Installation of basic to advanced network devices.
• Completes programming & commissioning for security, fire, access control and video surveillance systems.
• Assists with new technician training.

What you'll need:

• Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years industry experience -preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-years of fire detection and signaling systems experience (burglary, fire alarm, CCTV and access control).
• Certification/License:
  
  • Must possess a Valid Driver’s License.
  • ESA Certified Alarm Technician Level 2 or equivalent -preferred.
  • NICET Fire or Video Level 2 -preferred.
• Communication:
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with various individuals in a professional manner in order to provide superior customer service.
• Technical:
  • Assists in design of integrated systems; understands software and programming for the primary manufacturers used by their home branch.
  • Possesses the skill to decipher/design integrated systems in conjunction with local jurisdiction requirements.
