Lead Systems Manager - Deltek Vantagepoint

Overview: Urban Engineers seeks a Lead Systems Manager to oversee the transition to and optimization of Deltek Vantagepoint, providing insights to enhance business operations.

Key Responsibilities
Transition Leadership
  • Plan, manage, and execute the upgrade to Deltek Vantagepoint with minimal disruption.
  • Lead system testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and deliver training and documentation for system adoption.
  • Document and socialize the Vantagepoint data model.
Vantagepoint Operations Leadership
  • Expand knowledge and use cases for Vantagepoint users.
  • Monitor performance and address issues systematically.
  • Maintain knowledge of system updates and best practices.
  • Facilitate understanding and expand system use.
  • Enhance user proficiency and value through training.
Data & Reporting
  • Provide timely insights to business leaders.
  • Translate business needs into data and information.
  • Manage customized reports and dashboards.
  • Align insights with organizational strategy.
Requirements
Education
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
Experience
  • 7+ years with Deltek systems, including Deltek Vantagepoint.
  • Proven track record of managing Deltek upgrades.
  • Strong background in financial and operational reporting.
  • Deep understanding of the Vantagepoint data model.
  • Proficiency in SQL, reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI, Tableau), and financial analysis software.
  • Experience integrating third-party systems with Deltek.
  • Experience collaborating with executive leaders.
  • Excellent project management and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven positive and impactful communication skills.
  • Experience in professional services or consulting companies preferred.
  • Certification in Deltek Vantagepoint is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with APIs and data integration tools preferred.
