Job summary

North Wind is seeking a senior Systems Engineering leader to drive the design and development of wind tunnel testing facilities. You will mentor a team of Systems Engineers, manage requirements, interfaces, verification, and validation artifacts, and coordinate with Chief Engineers on execution strategies.

The role emphasizes multi-disciplinary prioritization, configuration management, and delivering cost and schedule commitments for major programs, including government contracts.

Qualifications

• Experience leading system development and major design efforts.
• Ability to perform complex systems analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with system configuration management and change processes.
• Experience developing and decomposing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates design, development, and optimization activities for wind tunnel test facilities.
• Lead a team of Systems Engineers to develop and deliver requirements, interfaces, verification, and validation artifacts.
• Prioritize system needs across disciplines and capabilities.
• Manage configuration of system artifacts and adherence to plans (SEMP, ICP, CM Plan, SVP).
• Provide cost and schedule estimates and reporting for Systems Engineering.
• Coordinate with Chief Engineers to define execution path and mentor team members.
