Teledyne Micropac, part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, seeks a Systems Engineer to lead cross-disciplinary product definition and system architecture for advanced microelectronic solutions and PCB modules supporting space and defense applications.

The role combines deep technical expertise with market insight and customer engagement, serving as the interface between engineering, product management and customers, guiding requirements, validation and production deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of microelectronics/space/defense design experience.
• Expertise in radiation effects and mitigation for space.
• Experience in product management, marketing, and competitive positioning.
• Strong ability to balance cost, performance, and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead system architecture and IC/PCB level design choices.
• Apply radiation-effects knowledge to space-grade systems.
• Define system trade studies and performance optimization.
• Ensure qualification, reliability, and manufacturability per aerospace standards.
• Drive design-for-reliability and design-for-testability.
• Lead product definition and align with Teledyne’s technology roadmaps.
• Engage in competitive analysis and market positioning, and support go-to-market efforts.
• Provide technical support and training to customers and field teams.
• Mentor internal teams in advanced system design.
