Job summary

Kratos Defense and Security Solutions in Huntsville, AL seeks a highly skilled Systems Engineer responsible for full lifecycle systems engineering on radar and hypersonic programs. You will develop requirements, create system design documentation, and generate Cameo models while interfacing with internal teams and customers.

Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in defense/aerospace, experience with MBSE and Cameo, and the ability to lead technical reviews. Occasional travel (<25%) is expected, with strong analytical and communication skills in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited university.
• 5–10 years of relevant industry experience.
• U.S. DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements, decompose and allocate to system elements.
• Develop system architectures for new and existing systems.
• Conduct trade studies and design research to determine optimal requirements and architecture.
• Create interface definitions, system schematics and system description documents.
• Develop and execute system verification and MBSE processes.
• Lead or support system engineering technical reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR).
• Prepare proposals and presentation materials; perform peer reviews of teammates' work.
• Develop and review test plans and reports; support HWIL and subsystem testing.
• Travel to customer locations as needed (<25%).
