RTX in Andover, MA is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to lead technical simulation operations and maintenance for the Flight Mission Simulator used in Patriot test programs. The successful candidate will drive system integration, troubleshooting, and onsite execution with cross‑functional teams to ensure mission readiness.

The role requires a STEM degree with 8+ years of experience, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and willingness to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience.
• Experience with systems software, hardware, requirements, integration and testing.
• Experience working in test facilities, integration labs, depots, or field environments.
• Experience developing or troubleshooting simulations, including evaluating Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical simulation operations and maintenance support for Flight Mission Simulator (FMS).
• Troubleshoot hardware issues to maintain mission-capable performance for Patriot programs.
• Lead Patriot lab personnel and WSMR teams; onsite integration and test activities.
• Serve as SME for root-cause identification and cross-functional coordination.
• Collaborate across Hardware, Software, Mechanical, and Systems Integration teams.
