Job summary

AMD is seeking a disciplined Lead System Debug Engineer for AI Rack Validation to join the post-Si debug team. You will drive scalable, automated solutions to enable fast and reliable debug of AMD EPYC Server and Instinct products, working with global teams across System Architects, IP design, SoC, firmware, software, and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering preferred.
• Extensive experience in validation roles involving debugging OS, FW, Silicon, and HW issues.
• Understanding of industry standard buses and their software stack (PCIe, CXL).
• Strong knowledge of X86 architecture, SoC design, memory, RAS & power management.
• Experience in platform/system level debug, OS interactions, and drivers.

Responsibilities

• Debug issues found during Silicon bring-up, System Validation, and production phases of SOC programs.
• Lead complex debug efforts to identify root cause and resolution.
• Ensure issues are solved on time with quality and track risks to milestones.
• Publish debug indicators and drive improvements to throughput.
• Manage stakeholder communications including program status and risks.
• Drive innovation in triage, debug tooling, scripts, and methodologies.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical or Computer Engineering
