Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Staff Systems Analyst to join the Global Design and R&D IT team, partnering with stakeholders to deliver digital solutions for vehicle design, engineering, and research.

You will translate complex needs into scalable technical solutions, drive continuous improvement, and enable innovation across a diverse portfolio of applications and platforms supporting GM's design and development efforts.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in business systems analysis or related technology disciplines.
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise infrastructure across Windows, Linux, macOS.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
• Experience supporting and integrating custom/internal applications beyond COTS/SaaS.
• Familiarity with modern application stacks including Angular, React, and Python-based internal apps.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Databricks, Kafka, PostgreSQL, FastAPI.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand objectives, challenges, and tech needs.
• Lead discovery, requirements gathering, process analysis, and solution definition.
• Translate business requirements into functional specs, user stories, and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, architecture, infra, cybersecurity, and vendors to deliver value.
• Evaluate technologies and digital solutions to improve processes and customer experiences.
• Support full solution lifecycle from planning to change management and improvement.
• Identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and modernization.
• Facilitate prioritization across multiple projects and product teams.
• Analyze workflows, integrations, and data flows for efficiency.
• Monitor performance, adoption, service health, and user satisfaction.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security, and governance.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to junior analysts and project members.
• Support Agile delivery practices including backlog, sprints, and releases.
• Drive adoption of new capabilities through communication and training.
