Job summary

VT Group (VTG) is seeking a Lead Systems Analyst in the United States to provide technical and administrative direction for software development tasks and to review work for correctness and conformance to design concepts and user standards. The role requires leadership to guide the project lifecycle and ensure schedules are met.

The candidate will supervise the support staff, design and validate voice system solutions (including VOIP) and maintain secure transmissions.

Job description

VTG is seeking a Lead Systems Analyst to support our customer. The Lead Systems Analyst will provide technical and administrative direction for personnel performing software development tasks, including the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards, and for progress in accordance with schedules.

What will you do?

• Coordinates with the Project and/or Program Manager to ensure problem solution and user satisfaction.
• Makes recommendations, if needed, for approval of major systems installations. Prepares milestone status reports and deliveries/presentations on the system concept to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives.
• Provides daily supervision and direction to support staff.
• Provides technical design, implementation, and validation solutions and services, such as voicemail and voice recording, for all voice systems and voice network technologies, which may include Network Operations Center (NOC) or voice over Internet Protocols (VOIP), utilizing state-of-the-art telecommunications technology. Determines telecommunications project requirements, and designs, estimates costs, troubleshoots, installs, and deploys voice communications solutions. Monitors and administers highly specialized voice communications systems, assuring that systems are in good condition, operating efficiently, and performing according to expectations.
• Assures that all transmissions sent and received through the system are securely processed, recognizing bugs and possible threats; may be a member of the Internet security team. Understands the role of Operations, provides incident support, and troubleshoots practices using proactive and reactive tools.
• Provides customer support to those who consume voice services from a company, utilizing skills in sales and financial savvy to handle a customer's billing concerns.
• Collaborates and interfaces with internal and external customers, Architects, the Engineering and Operations teams, and Service Management; and ensures that the project lifecycle approach is followed.
• Presents and makes recommendations regarding deployment issues, and identifies potential challenges that may impact the client's environment to the upper management.
• Recommends enhanced voice products in order to improve the overall functionality of an existing system, such as adding more bandwidth to increase voice speeds or adding voicemail to filter large call volumes.
• Stays current with telecommunications services, various technologies, organizational goals, and industry trends to drive value.
• Oversees internal networks as a way to assure that systems are operating at optimal levels.
• Trains internal engineers and customers on voice system operation and administration, and designs training materials to instruct others on the proper care and maintenance of specialized equipment.
• May specialize in the design and creation of a voice system or focus predominately on maintaining and troubleshooting existing networking systems.

Do you have what it takes?

• Must have a BA/BS in a technical discipline with at least 10 years of experience.
• Must have and maintain a Secret clearance.
• Eligible for a Top Secret.
• Willing to travel 75% or more

VTG's estimated starting pay range is $101,032-$163,223 annually, which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
