Job summary

Bruker seeks a Staff Systems Engineer to lead system architecture, requirements, and performance validation for semiconductor capital equipment. You will bridge mechanical, electrical, software, controls, optics, and robotics disciplines to deliver high‑performance instruments.

You will guide cross‑functional teams through concept to manufacturing transfer, while applying a deep systems mindset and rigorous problem solving to ensure reliability and success in challenging environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, or related technical field.
• 10–15 years engineering experience; senior level acceptable with 5–10 years.
• Experience developing complex semiconductor capital equipment, automation systems, robotics, or related high- tech products.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary system integration involving hardware, software, controls, and automation.
• Experience conducting requirements management, system architecture, and product development processes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead system architecture, requirements definition, and product specifications.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, software, controls, process, and manufacturing engineering.
• Drive system integration, verification, validation, and performance optimization.
• Conduct technical risk assessments, root cause investigations, and reliability improvements.
• Support product development from concept through commercialization and manufacturing transfer.
