Job summary

Henrico County Public Schools is seeking an hourly/temporary head coach for Mills E Godwin High School in Henrico, VA. The role encompasses managing all aspects of the sports program, coordinating practices, ensuring eligibility, and leading fundraising efforts.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, organizational skills, and effective communication with student athletes, families, and school staff. Prior coaching experience and knowledge of VHSL rules are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Effective communication with students, families, and staff.
• Experience coaching and managing a sports program is preferred.
• Experience in team fundraising is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and oversees all aspects of the athletic program.
• Prepares student athletes physically and mentally for interscholastic competition.
• Reviews eligibility forms and submits required documentation to the Student Activities Director.
• Supervises equipment maintenance and procurement.
• Promotes school-community relations and engages families.
