Job summary

HKS, Inc. is seeking a senior professional to lead whole-building dynamic thermal and energy models across diverse projects in architecture and engineering. You will guide energy performance analyses, support design decisions, and mentor a multidisciplinary team of engineers and architects.

You will advance ESG goals, manage project proposals, and collaborate with design teams to optimize energy efficiency, daylighting, and mechanical systems throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Accredited professional degree in Architecture, Engineering, Sustainable Design or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Familiarity with design and energy modeling applications such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Radiance, DIVA, REVIT, AutoCAD, Sketchup, IES VE, Sefaira, Insight360, Energy Plus, EnergyPro preferred
• Experience with LEED submission and regulatory compliance energy modeling

Responsibilities

• Oversees whole-building dynamic thermal and energy models for various building types and scales.
• Manages energy modeling related service proposals and project resources.
• Leads life cycle cost and life cycle analysis for design alternatives.
• Mentors staff and drives ESG initiatives and enterprise research.
