Job summary

Keeley Construction Group in Austin/San Marcos area is seeking a Survey Technician to join our Civil Texas team. You will lead field crews, perform topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and support construction staking.

The role requires Trimble equipment experience, proficiency with GPS units, total stations, levels, and data collectors, plus strong communication with project managers and clients. A 3–5 year background in land surveying and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree often preferred.
  • Typically 3–5 years in land surveying, with 1–2 years in leadership.
  • Trimble equipment experience, required.
  • AutoCAD and MS Office experience a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a field survey crew in topographic, boundary, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking surveys.
  • Set up and operate GPS equipment, total stations, levels, and other surveying instruments.
  • Ensure accurate data collection, measurements, angles, and elevations.
  • Prepare and submit detailed survey reports with sketches and maps.
  • Maintain organized records of survey activities and findings.
  • Coordinate daily tasks and communicate with project managers, engineers, and clients.
