Job summary

Gregory Construction is seeking an experienced Survey Party Chief to lead field surveying and construction layout on large-scale heavy civil and mission-critical projects in Louisville, KY. You will translate plans into precise field layouts, supervise survey crews, and coordinate with project teams to keep production on track.

This hands-on leadership role requires strong knowledge of mass grading, utilities, structures, paving, and site development, with proficiency in Trimble/Topcon equipment

Qualifications

7+ years of field surveying experience on heavy civil projects.
Ability to read complex construction plans and set layout accurately.
Proficient with Trimble/Topcon surveying equipment and software.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day field surveying and construction layout on active heavy civil projects.
Perform layout, staking, elevations, control, and as-built surveys.
Coordinate with project teams to keep crews productive.
Operate Trimble S7, TSC7, Trimble Access, and Topcon GPS systems.
Develop survey records and as-built information.
Travel to Gregory Construction projects as required.
