Job summary

Advanced Civil Design, Inc. in Cary, NC is seeking an experienced Survey Manager to lead and coordinate land surveying projects from proposal through final delivery. You will oversee field crews, technical staff, and project budgets while ensuring accurate data and client satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, client-relations skills, and expertise with AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS, and GNSS technologies. On-site work with travel to project sites is involved.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of surveying experience with project management
• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field preferred
• PS/PLS/RLS license preferred
• Strong knowledge of boundary, construction, and topographic surveying practices
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MS Office
• Leadership and client-relations abilities

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage land surveying projects from proposal to delivery
• Oversee schedules, budgets, field crews, and staff
• Review field data, calculations, plats, and mapping products
• Prepare proposals, fee estimates, and contracts
• Serve as primary client contact and coordiante with stakeholders
• Mentor field and technical staff and support business development
• Ensure compliance with laws, standards, safety, and QC procedures
• Utilize GPS/GNSS, robotic total stations, drones, and GIS tools
