Job summary

Metro Consulting Associates is seeking a Survey Crew Chief based in Cincinnati, OH to coordinate field and office objectives and lead field survey teams in staking, boundary, ALTA, ROW mapping, and topographic surveys.

The ideal candidate has five years in surveying, proficiency with GPS and robotic total stations, a valid drivers license, and the ability to travel up to 100% while maintaining safety and client relations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of surveying experience.
• Proficient with GPS and robotic total station.
• Valid driver’s license; clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Willingness to travel up to 100%.
• Experience leading a survey crew.
• Familiarity with field methods and instrument care.
• Knowledge of Civil3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain surveying instruments and data collection devices.
• Record survey results and verify data accuracy with field checks.
• Transmit survey data to office files and retrieve data from remote locations.
• Prepare legible field notes and daily records; maintain staking cut sheets.
• Assist in training staff on field methods and instrument use.
• Research previous survey evidence to obtain data for surveys.
• Lead survey crew with emphasis on safety, cost control, efficiency, and professionalism.
• Maintain strong client relations and perform other duties as assigned.
