Faithful Friends, Inc is seeking a Lead Surgical Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to oversee surgical workflows and assist veterinarians during procedures. Lead Surgical Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)

Full time, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities
  • Prepare animals for surgery, including patient assessment, induction, intubation, surgical preparation, and recovery
  • Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures and respond appropriately to changes in patient status
  • Assist veterinarians during surgical procedures
  • Maintain accurate anesthesia, surgical, and treatment records
  • Administer medications and vaccines as directed
  • Ensure proper sterilization, cleaning, and maintenance of surgical instruments and equipment
  • Prepare and maintain surgical packs and treatment areas
  • Assist with patient intake, discharge, and post‑operative client education
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient surgical environment
  • Assist in maintaining an appropriate inventory of surgical and medical supplies
Leadership & Team Development
  • Serve as the lead resource for the surgical technician team on workflows, anesthesia, surgical best practices, and patient care standards
  • Assist with onboarding, training, mentoring, and ongoing development of surgical staff and assistants
  • Help support a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture
  • Assist with surgical scheduling, workflow coordination, and daily case management
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and leadership to improve protocols, efficiency, and patient care outcomes
  • Help identify opportunities for process improvement and operational excellence within the surgery department
  • Provide guidance and support to team members in a constructive and professional manner
Qualifications
  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) required
  • Minimum 2–3 years of hands‑on veterinary technician experience required
  • Strong surgical and anesthesia experience required

  • Prior leadership, training, or mentorship experience preferred
