Job summary

You will diagnose mechanical failures, disassemble engines and major assemblies, and provide guidance to junior mechanics while performing preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure readiness and safety.

Qualifications

• Position requires eligibility for federal employment and possession of a Secret security clearance.
• National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service position for SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (WG-5801-10).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, perform maintenance and major repairs on heavy-duty mobile equipment and vehicles.
• Inspect and repair engines, drive lines, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Provide technical guidance and lead lower grade mechanics within the team.
