Job summary

Nike Air Manufacturing Innovation seeks a Licensed Lead Supervising Electrician to lead electrical reliability and execution across advanced manufacturing facilities. You will serve as the licensed authority, oversee escalations and ensure all electrical work is safe, compliant and production-ready.

The role requires strong leadership, deep electrical expertise, and the ability to guide electricians and technicians while balancing daily operations with long-term system reliability and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent electrical training is required.
• Oregon supervising license is required.
• 8+ years of industrial electrical experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading electrical work and supervising teams.
• Strong knowledge of NEC, OESC, NFPA 70E and safety protocols.
• QEW certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the licensed electrical authority and ensure NEC and Oregon code compliance.
• Sign-off on permitting and internal electrical work.
• Lead complex electrical escalations and system failures.
• Oversee electrical modifications, upgrades and installations.
• Define solutions and action plans with Facilities for electrical changes.
• Keep electrical systems production-ready, safe and scalable.
• Coordinate external contractors and vendor activities.
• Mentor electricians and maintenance technicians.
• Enforce LOTO, arc flash and NFPA 70E safety.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Operations to drive execution.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

Nike Air Manufacturing Innovation operates in a fast-paced, highly integrated production environment. This role leads and supervises electrical execution across Air MI facilities and is part of the Production Equipment Engineering team within Manufacturing Operations. It partners closely with Maintenance and Facilities to ensure electrical systems reliability, safe operation, and compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Shift

Office schedule, Monday–Friday (8 hours/day). This role may require availability outside regular business hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to support urgent operational needs.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Licensed Lead Supervising Electrician who can provide technical leadership and act as the electrical authority for in-house electrical work. This role is responsible for overseeing execution, enforcing code compliance and serving as the escalation point for complex electrical and system issues.

The ideal candidate combines deep electrical expertise with strong leadership capability. You will guide electricians and technicians, support facility and engineering initiatives, and ensure all electrical work is performed safely, efficiently and in accordance with Oregon electrical codes. This role requires strong decision-making, high autonomy, and the ability to balance daily operational execution with long-term system reliability, safety and performance improvement.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience (e.g., completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program, Journeyman Electrician certification, military electrical training, or equivalent industrial experience).
• Valid State of Oregon Supervising Electrician License.
• 8+ years of industrial electrical experience in manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience leading electrical work and supervising teams.
• Advanced troubleshooting of industrial electrical systems
• Strong knowledge of:
• NEC (NFPA 70)
• Oregon Electrical Specialty Code (OESC)
• NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace)
• Lockout/Tagout (OSHA 1910.147)
• Arc flash safety and hazard analysis
• QEW (Qualified Electrical Worker) certification or equivalent
• Strong leadership, communication, and technical decision-making skills
• Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally in production environments

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience working with vendors and managing electrical contractors, including scope coordination and quality oversight
• Experience with transformer configuration, installation and power distribution systems
