Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent for underground installations in Pecos, TX. You will lead field supervision, manage subcontractors, ensure safety and quality, and align work with project schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities include coordinating with engineers, foremen, and craft professionals, developing work scopes and look-ahead plans, and ensuring tool and material readiness on site. This long-term assignment emphasizes leadership and constructability.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8–10 years of relevantexperience or 12–14 years of relevant work experience.
• Previous experience delivering underground commodity installations as a Field Superintendent.
• Demonstrated understanding of industry/International Codes & Standards applicable to work scope.
• Demonstrated communications skills crucial to motivating team members and presenting plans clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct field supervision and subcontractor teams to safely execute daily work.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and coordination with project expectations.
• Develop scopes of work, budgets, and contracts; monitor field activities and progress payments.
• Maintain daily site logs and ensure availability of tools, materials, and equipment.
• Coordinate with design on constructability issues and use of automation tools.
• Plan workforce requirements and develop 3 Week Look Ahead schedules.
• Enforce safety, quality, and compliance with design documents and standards.
