Job summary

Versar Global Solutions is seeking a Site Manager / Construction Manager to lead field operations at a Florida project site for up to 36 months. You will oversee subcontractors, equipment, and activities associated with complex USACE environmental remediation and construction tasks.

The role requires extensive field management experience, knowledge of CERCLA/RCRA practices, and strong coordination with safety and project teams to ensure on-time, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, environmental science, geology, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in construction or environmental remediation.
• 5+ years in field management, superintendent, or site management roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and oversight of field operations for a complex USACE environmental remediation and construction project.
• Direct and coordinate site personnel, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and site logistics.
• Manage excavation, screening, handling, transportation, and disposal of contaminated soils/sediment.
• Oversee major remedial construction activities, including barrier wall construction, earthwork, and site restoration.
• Implement approved remedial work plans and site management plans.
• Coordinate with project management, safety officers, and subcontractors to maintain safe, compliant operations.
• Monitor progress, productivity, and schedule; resolve field issues.
• Support RFIs, design questions, and changes affecting constructability.
• Ensure compliance with contract drawings, permits, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain communication with stakeholders and daily field reports.
