Job summary

KCI Technologies, Inc. is seeking a skilled Utilities Locator/Designer to join our team in Pittsburgh.

The role involves selecting and locating underground utilities, reviewing drawings, creating field sketches, and performing records research to support subsurface projects. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and is capable of coordinating crews while maintaining safety standards; a DOT medical card and CDL are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Designate/locate underground utilities; review as-built drawings and roadways; create legible field sketches; perform records research.
• Operate and maintain vacuum excavation equipment; supervise crews; conduct monthly safety meetings and address hazards.
• Mentor crews and follow instructions with a positive attitude; lead others; ensure accuracy in designation/locating subsurface utilities.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a DOT medical card; CDL is a plus; NULCA or other certification is a plus.
• Willing to lift 50 pounds, work in various weather, and travel for projects as needed.
