ISG is seeking a Senior Substation Relay and Controls Engineer in North Olmsted, OH to lead protection and control system design for high‑voltage substations. You will develop one-line and three-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and equipment lists, while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with clients and utilities.

You will ensure designs meet IEEE and NESC standards, support project milestones, and share best practices across the Energy Group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• 8+ years of consulting or substation engineering experience required.
• Ohio PE License preferred; may be working toward certification.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for site visits, design reviews, and client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and compliant designs for high-voltage substations (one-line, three-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, layouts, BOMs).
• Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Serve as main technical contact for clients and project teams; present solutions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders to meet project milestones.
• Identify design improvements and implement process enhancements.
