Job summary

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a self-driven Program/Project Manager for Weapons Handling Systems to join AMERICAN SYSTEMS Engineering Services Directorate. The role requires obtaining a Secret clearance and hands-on SME experience with submarine launcher systems on LOS ANGELES, OHIO, SEAWOLF and VIRGINIA class boats.

The successful candidate will coordinate with NUWC, shipyards, fleet maintenance and private industry, lead TLMD development, and ensure periodic maintenance and certification

Qualifications

Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
15+ years’ experience on Submarine Launcher Systems, Periodic Maintenance, Certification Processes, Weight Testing requirements including TLMD development.
In-depth knowledge of periodic maintenance requirements for Submarine platforms.

Responsibilities

Subject Matter Expert for Submarine Ordnance Weapon Handling, launchers, and stowage systems on LOS ANGELES, OHIO, SEAWOLF, and VIRGINIA class submarines.
Subject Matter Expert for Submarine Launcher Systems, Periodic Maintenance, Certification Processes, TLMD development.
Coordinate with NUWC, Type Commanders, shipyards, fleet maintenance activities, warfare centers, and private industry.
