Job Description

The Lead Sub-orbital Test (ST) Campaign Manager will be responsible for managing various sub-orbital launch providers/integrators over several launch campaigns throughout the entire lifecycle of design, development, integration, test, and launch. This role would also be responsible for managing and training other ST Campaign Managers.

  • Huntsville, AL
  • Crane, IN
  • Wallops Island, VA


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Work with experimenters, integrators, and launch vehicle providers to verify test round requirements are being met throughout the entirety of the mission.
  • Support the test design team in evaluating test round development, develop and maintain schedules among multiple partners and experimenters, compile technical documentation and lead reviews, and manage operations from cradle to grave of launch campaigns.
  • Coordinate campaign support between test engineering, test execution, assembly and integration, systems engineering groups, and outside stakeholders.
  • Ensure campaigns are conducted in accordance with applicable safety requirements and standards.
  • Train and manage other ST Campaign Managers.

Up to 25% domestic and international.

SALARY:

$170,000 - $190,000

Experience and Skills

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Adept problem solver and possess critical thinking skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and goal oriented.
  • Must possess excellent verbal & written communication skills for use at all levels of the organization such as employees, management and internal/external sponsors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
  • Must currently have and/or be capable of obtaining a security clearance.
  • Must have valid driver's license/vehicle insurance sufficient to access military facilities.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelors' degree from an accredited college in engineering with 8 years of experience in mission planning/mission management/mission execution related to test and evaluation of sub-orbital launch vehicles.


WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Office environment.
  • Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion (keyboarding, 10-key, phones).
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
