Job Type: Childrens Director,Ministry Director,Youth Director
When three guys who had been in the church most of their lives experienced an overwhelming pull to start something new in the Metro Detroit area, they assembled 40 families as crazy as they were, to live out a new kind of movement in Metro Detroit. Derided by some, misunderstood by many, this small band of Jesus followers poured out all of their resources to build a radically invitational church experience. The goal? To reach and connect with folks that many churches might have considered unreachable. For 35 years, Kensington has continued to live out its mission through church planting, campusing, and establishing global partnerships.
In May 2018, the Clinton Township Campus celebrated the grand opening of its new permanent facility, welcoming several thousand attendees during the inaugural services. This milestone was part of the church’s broader “Every[one]” Capital Campaign, which aimed to transition several campuses from portable setups to permanent buildings, enhancing their capacity to serve their communities.
The Lead Student Ministries Director (All Campuses) is leading, overseeing, and advancing the spiritual development of Kensington Middle School and High School Students across all campuses, and has direct responsibility for the Clinton Township Student Ministries. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, direction, and vision to other Student Directors across all campuses. This role will be responsible to create, cultivate, and catalyze vision, leadership, and strategic oversight for student ministries.
The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Lead Student Ministries Director (All Campuses):
