Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Structural Engineer in the Global Facilities U.S. region to lead structural design from concept through construction for advanced semiconductor manufacturing facilities.

The role focuses on seismic resilience, vibration control, and constructability to meet stringent operational requirements. You will collaborate with Civil, Architectural, MEP, and Process Engineering teams across multiple U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering with structural emphasis or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in structural design for semiconductor or other complex facilities.
• Strong knowledge of structural analysis, foundations, and vibration/seismic-sensitive systems.
• Proficient in design software ETABS, SAP2000, RAM, STAAD, SAFE and drafting tools AutoCAD/Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design and construction support across U.S. sites.
• Develop and review foundations, slabs, framing, and equipment supports for cleanroom environments.
• Perform structural analysis for gravity, lateral, seismic, wind, and loads per codes.
• Collaborate with Civil, Architectural, MEP, and Process Engineering teams.
• Prepare and review drawings, calculations, and delegated design packages.
• Support construction through RFIs, submittals, and field engineering.
• Manage scope, schedule, and coordination with PMs and partners.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety laws, and internal standards.
• Participate in bid evaluations, cost estimating, and contractor selection.
• Provide permitting and AHJ coordination input.
