Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Lead Structural Engineer located in the San Antonio, Texas Metropolitan Area. The Lead Structural Engineer will be responsible for calculations, structural analysis, structural engineering, civil engineering, and computer-aided design (CAD) tasks.

• PE license (or on track to obtain within 12 months)
• Structural Analysis and Structural Engineering skills
• Civil Engineering knowledge
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
• Experience in conducting calculations for structural projects
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

As the Head of Structural Engineering, you’ll be responsible for leading the department, managing complex design projects, and guiding a team of engineers. You'll work closely with our in-house architects and civil engineers on a variety of high-impact commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.

• Lead and manage the structural engineering team
• Perform and review structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, wood, and masonry systems
• Oversee production of construction documents and ensure code compliance
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs during construction
• Interface directly with clients, contractors, and city officials
• Establish QA/QC protocols and ensure timely project delivery
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to hiring efforts
