Job summary

Industrial Design seeks a Designer to lead the development of construction documents. You will direct a Drafter, own the design package, and ensure compliance with codes and client specs. You will coordinate with other designers and mentor through the design process, while maintaining project scope and deliverables.

Responsibilities include developing views, applying WBS for estimating, and updating models and drawings during design and construction administration.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED.
• Two-year associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Three to five years of practical experience.
• Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering; ten years of practical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction documents and project scope with calculations and specifications.
• Direct the Drafter to prepare views within scope.
• Coordinate with designers to develop the overall scope and ensure constructible details.
• Annotate documents with scope enabling content and descriptions.
• Maintain meeting minutes and support design reviews.
