The Salvation Army is seeking a Lead Store Clerk for its Family Thrift Store in Aiken, SC. This part-time position involves managing daily store operations, training volunteers, and providing excellent customer service while upholding the organization's mission to serve and meet human needs. Ideal candidates will have retail experience and a commitment to helping others.
Location: The Salvation Army Family Thrift Store- 3730 Richland Ave. Aiken, SC
Hours: Monday- Friday(10am-6pm) and Saturday 10 am-5 pm
(Schedule flexibility during store hours is essential.)
Pay Rate:11 .31/hour (Bi-weekly) Position Type: Part-Time
About this opportunity: Lead Store Clerk
Act as the lead store clerk and assist with opening and closing the Family Store. Assists store customers in donating, selecting, and purchasing store items; operates and maintains a cash register; responds to customers’ questions; maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the store displays; ensures the security of store items and the cash register.

What we are looking for in you:
High School diploma or G.E.D. and experience working in a retail store preferred, and One year prior retail experience. or Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Working Conditions:
Duties are usually performed standing. Standing may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of sitting. Moderate physical effort required associated with sitting, walking, standing, lifting, bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, and carrying light to heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.). Work is sometimes performed in a normal store where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
