Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Millville, NJ is hiring for a Cashier/Stocker with lead responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager. You will assist in setting and maintaining plan-o-grams, stock merchandise, greet customers, and help ensure a safe, clean store while maximizing profitability.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, perform checkout duties, manage deposits alongside supervision as needed, and provide outstanding customer service every day.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math calculations including addition, subtraction, percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposits.
• Experience using IBM cash register functions.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise according to store procedures.
• Greet customers and assist in locating merchandise.
• Operate cash register and handle transactions accurately.
• Maintain clean front end and assist with displays.
• Assist in maintaining plan-o-grams and store security.
• Open/close the store under the direction of the Area Manager.
