Job summary

Viking Enterprise Solutions, part of Sanmina, seeks an experienced Software Developer to design, build, and optimize storage management systems for data centers and edge deployments. You will work on Linux storage stacks, Kubernetes integrations, and high-reliability services.

The role emphasizes deep kernel-level debugging, CSI driver work, and collaboration across architecture and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• Deep expertise in Linux storage stacks and Kubernetes internals.
• Reading kernel code: kernel modules, debugging IO subsystems.
• CSI driver development and operating custom Kubernetes distributions.
• Knowledge of etcd, kubelet, CRI/CNI/CSI interfaces, controllers and API machinery.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain storage services and their integration into Kubernetes (CSI drivers, storage orchestration, provisioning, and data-path components).
• Work within the Linux Storage stack: block layer filesystems and storage targets exposed to clients.
• Debug complex issues spanning kernel, storage, drivers, cluster orchestration, networking.
• Harden, package, and ship storage components as part of Kubernetes-based products; include performance analysis and failure-mode testing.
• Contribute to architectural decisions on how storage, compute and networking fit together.
