Job summary

The Miami VA Healthcare System's Sterile Processing Service seeks a Lead MST to supervise complex instrument processing and ensure adherence to quality care standards. Ideal candidates will have proven leadership in a VA academic hospital program and familiarity with complex decontamination procedures.

Qualifications include US citizenship, 6 months' experience or 1 year of health-care coursework, strong English proficiency, and demonstrated KSAs in procedures, communication, and team

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship is required.
Education/experience: 6 months of related experience OR 1 year of health-care related coursework.
English proficiency in speaking and writing as required by VA standards.
Experience lead in sterile processing with ability to read and interpret SOPs.

Responsibilities

Assemble highly complex instrument sets (e.g., open heart, orthopedic, cardiovascular) and decontaminate/sterilize instruments.
Lead staff, manage priorities, and schedule work assignments.
Instruct staff on SOPs and updated procedures; communicate changes to management.
Review manufacturer guidelines to ensure correct methods and parameters are followed.
