Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a Central Services Technician to perform decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instrumentation and to assemble case carts for interventional procedures. The role involves using an instrument tracking system, ordering devices, and coordinating with the Materials Coordinator to maintain supply readiness across the surgical core.

The ideal candidate will have formal Central Services training and active sterile processing certifications, plus at least

Qualifications

• Completion of formal Central Services Technician course or successfully challenged Course test.
• National Certified Registered Central Service Technician certification or equivalent.
• National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician certification or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with surgical instrumentation in a hospital Sterile Processing/Central Services environment.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and assemble surgical instrumentation using an automated Instrument Tracking System.
• Assemble and deliver surgical case carts with required contents.
• Par and replenish materials for the surgical core and CS packs storage area.
• Identify and report supply or equipment issues to supervisors and coordinate with team.
