Job summary

UCLA Health and David Geffen School of Medicine seeks a Lead Technician in Sterile Processing to support CSR Manager and facilitate shift operations.

You will oversee staff training, participate in Quality Assurance, and assist in updating policies and procedures within the department. A High School diploma, 3–5 years in Sterile Processing, and CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA certification are required, with strong attention to detail and communication.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification with CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA is required.
• Attention to detail; good organizational skills; basic computer skills.
• 3–5 years of experience in Sterile Processing environment.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to short and long term departmental planning and strategy.
• Oversee training within area of expertise in the department, including identifying needs, developing training, providing/training, tracking training, and validating effectiveness.
• Provides ongoing and annual input on staff performance to department leadership.
• Participates in the Quality Assurance Program for area of expertise in the department.
• Assists in review, development and revisions of policies and procedures for area of the department.
