Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Self-Perform Operations (SPO) concrete and general trades on a Walnut Creek, CA project. You will oversee staffing, budget, and risk management from project pursuit through closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field (or equivalent)
• In-depth knowledge of concrete construction systems
• Leadership to supervise teams and manage activities
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, and contract principles
• Ability to read and interpret project drawings, specs, and schedules
• Strong communication with stakeholders and ability to negotiate changes

Responsibilities

• Manage operational performance of SPO projects from start to close
• Lead project startup including budget, SOV, and submittals
• Procure and release long lead materials to meet ROJ dates
• Lead weekly project production meetings with the General Superintendent
• Track production variances and communicate with management and estimating
• Identify change conditions and collaborate on change orders
• Oversee contract and subcontract agreements and labor relations
• Support EH&S safety protocol implementation and risk management
• Coordinate with finance for timely pay applications and invoicing
• Contribute to master schedule development and ensure schedule alignment with contracts
• Supervise SPO team if applicable and participate in hiring and performance reviews
• Support implementation of company initiatives and new technologies
• Travel as required
