Job summary

Eyas Landing - Avondale is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Department Lead / Supervisor to oversee pediatric speech, receptive and expressive language development and related feeding/swallowing needs. This role operates on-site in Chicago and offers strong growth opportunities within a multi-disciplinary team.

The position emphasizes leadership, mentorship, and supervision of Speech Therapists, with responsibilities spanning therapy provision, program development, and collaboration

Qualifications

• Required credentials to practice speech-language pathology.
• Experience working with children and/or clients with special needs preferred.
• Competencies: bold contributor, holding others accountable, dealing with ambiguity, and developing employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized therapy and therapeutic rotations.
• Implement therapeutic approaches such as SOS Approach to Feeding, Get Permission Approach, AAC, and IRM.
• Collaborate daily with occupational and physical therapists, and social workers.
• Document progress and communicate with families to support continuity of care.
• Provide mentorship, clinical guidance, and performance feedback to Speech Therapists to ensure consistency in care delivery and growth.
