Qualifications

• Must be connected to a high school community.

• Education degree and/or counseling background preferred.
• Previous speech coaching experience preferred.

POSITION: Coaching Positions – Asst. Speech Coach

LOCATION: Stillwater Area High School

PURPOSE OF THE ACTIVITY: To prepare students for competitions and performances. Develop lesson plans and training sessions to enhance students' speech skills. Provide constructive feedback to students to improve their performance.

• Previous speech coaching experience preferred.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Planning and leading practice sessions
2. Creating strategies to prepare/lead students for competitions
3. Provide feedback and coaching at practices/competitions
4. Follow District #834 Code of Ethics for Advisors.

LENGTH OF ACTIVITIY:

• Weeks: 18 (7.5 hours per week)
• After School – As assigned by the head speech coach
