Regional One Health is seeking a Lead Pharmacy Technician (Certified) for our Bartlett Specialty Midtown location at 1588 Union. Must hold a national certification such as PTCB or NHA and a TN Pharmacy Tech License to qualify.
This role supports pharmacists, handles specialty medications, documents records, and assists with daily workflow to ensure compliant patient care. The position requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Assists registered pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense specialty medications as defined by Regional One Health standards. Performs various duties related to specialty pharmacy services including, but not limited to, maintaining patient records and documentation, preparing and processing prescriptions, answering telephone calls, communicating with patients, payors and healthcare providers, inventory management, benefit investigations, prior authorizations, patient assistance, prescription delivery and distribution, and record-keeping of pharmaceuticals and controlled substances. Collorabates with Lead Pharmacist and/or Manager to manage daily workflow profiency. Able to provide targeted feedback to coach technicians to improve efficiency and address technician concerns in an appropriate manner.
Provides assistance and performs technical pharmacy services under minimal supervision of licensed pharmacist and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Prepares and fills prescriptions and medication orders, maintaining appropriate legal and departmental records; computes records, patient charges and credits patients for unused drugs.
Operates computerized data systems.
Maintains a safe and orderly arrangement of pharmaceuticals and supplies in the pharmacy and maintains a clean and neat work area.
Assists in inventory control including ordering stock rotation and return of outdated medications.
Works effectively and serves as intermediary between patient, provider, and pharmacy;
Maintains confidentiality in matters relating to patient/family, department and hospital information. Adheres to established department and organization policies (i.e. HIPAA, Confidentiality, and Compliance Policies).
Maintains a clean, orderly, safe environment to minimize risk to patients and staff by complying with all safety/risk management policies and procedures. Adheres to established policies, compliance/quality improvement, and safety, environment and infection control standards.
Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements. Responds to problems/opportunities to improve work environment and participates in unit based performance improvement activities.
Provides support to pharmacy and other ancillary personnel to provide clinical assistance as needed. Assists in the orientation and supervision of students when they provide patient care, treatment, and services as part of their training.
Provides coverage for relief and absences. Demonstrates flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays to provide continuous pharmacy coverage as required.
Provides guidance, mentoring, and back up for the other technicians and assists the Pharmacy manager or lead pharmacist with assignment of work, training, and mentoring as needed to maintain efficient patient care.
Provide targeted feedback to coach technicians to improve efficiency and address technician concerns in an appropriate manner, develop and implement training for new initiatives and programs, assist manager/lead with scheduling, assist lead/manager in implementing new programs and workflows and monitoring for success
Complies with all policies and procedure's in accordance with specialty pharmacy accreditation standards.
